The Undergraduate Fellowship Program at the Center for Peace Studies (CPS) offers exceptional junior and senior undergraduate students an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in areas aligned with the Center’s core themes: peacebuilding, security studies, conflict resolution, climate security, and strategic analysis. Selected students will be awarded honorary fellowships, allowing them to work closely with CPS’s research team, including non-resident research fellows and research associates. Through this engagement, undergraduate fellows will acquire practical exposure to cutting-edge research projects, advanced analytical tools, and methodological training, significantly strengthening their academic and professional profiles.
Participation as an undergraduate fellow will not only enrich students’ CVs but also provide them with valuable networks—both among their peers and with the CPS non-resident fellows, who are often established academics and practitioners in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and beyond. This experience will prepare them for pursuing higher research degrees or competitive professional programs, equipping them with the critical skills and exposure necessary to contribute meaningfully to the country’s future policy and research landscape. By combining mentorship, skills development, and networking opportunities, the program will serve as a steppingstone for the next generation of professionals in peace and security.
