The Center for Peace Studies (CPS) aims to generate tangible outcomes for sustainable peace and security. It seeks to enhance understanding of peace and security by producing deeper, nuanced insights into conflict, security, and strategic affairs through rigorous, interdisciplinary research. The Center plans to foster strengthened regional and global collaboration by expanding partnerships with leading peace institutes and universities, encouraging shared learning and joint action on security challenges. It is committed to developing human capacity for peacebuilding, nurturing a new generation of skilled peacebuilders, thinkers, and researchers through interdisciplinary training, fellowships, and internships, with a focus on empowering youth and underrepresented groups.
CPS also aims for increased public engagement and awareness in peace processes through public dialogues, forums, and comprehensive peace education programs. Finally, it will facilitate timely and strategic responses to emerging threats, developing the capability to monitor, assess, and provide proactive, peace-centered strategies for evolving security challenges, including those stemming from climate-induced migration and water disputes.
