The Research Internship Program at the Center for Peace Studies (CPS) offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to engage in short-term, project-based research assignments under the supervision of CPS research fellows and associates. These internships will be designed to provide students with practical exposure to data collection, analysis, policy writing, and research design on topics such as conflict mapping, climate-security risks, border security, and democratic resilience. By actively contributing to CPS’s signature projects, including the Strategic Peace Index, interns will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art research tools, techniques, and methodologies.
For graduate and undergraduate interns alike, this experience will enhance their academic training and career prospects by offering real-world research practice and opportunities to publish or co-author outputs such as policy briefs, reports, and working papers. The program will also encourage networking with non-resident fellows and external experts, enabling interns to build professional connections that may support future pursuits of research degrees, professional programs, or careers in policy, international organizations, and academia. Through structured mentorship and training sessions, CPS internships will cultivate the next generation of policy-oriented researchers in Bangladesh and the broader South Asian region.
